Nigerian afrobeat musician, Ahmed Ololade, has finally announced his departure from YBNL Nation.
The musician brought an end to his three years stint with the record label owned by popular Nigerian rapper, Olamide.
Prior to the official announcement which he made in his latest single “Why Love”, Asake had been a topic of discourse as speculations and rumours of grudges with Olamide’s YBNL rented the air.
The artist would, however, shun dispelled the rumours with a tribute to Olamide in his first song of the year, ‘Military,’.
Following his exit from YBNL, the music artist had created his own label, Giran Republic, with “Why Love” being his first single under the new label.
Asake joined YBNL Nation in February 2022. In July 2022, he struck a distribution agreement with Empire.
