Former Niger Delta Freedom Fighter, Asari Dokubo, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of betrayal while vowing to form alliance with the North.
Dokubo expressed his disappointment with the Tinubu administration in a recent video on Instagram.
He recounted how he had supported the President’s campaign with the hope that his administration will fair better.
Expressing his displeasure, Dokubo apologized to past Ijaw leaders who he had condemned for forming alliance with the North.
He vowed to revive the alliance with the North and fight against their oppositions as he labelled Yorubas as betrayers.
“Today, I feel that I apologize to out fathers that they are not wrong in forming alliance with the North. And as young men, we will do the same.
“As I am now from today, I will work and form alliance with the North and to crush all other oppositions plus those who hate us.
“Whatever we do to them does not mean anything to them. Whatever Ijaw people do to them does not mean anything.
“All over Ijaw land, we take this message that is only the Northerners that can work with Ijaw people.
“We cannot work with Yoruba people. They are betrayals to us. We risked our lives voted, did everything and this is what we get?” Dokubo said.
Recall that the President had earlier this week scrapped the Ministry of Niger Delta- a move that has generated series of condemnations from political actors of the region.
