Asisat Oshoala Mocks Lagos Residents Praying Over Faulty Transformer


Nigerian female international football star, Asisat Oshoala has mocked residents of Ikota in Lagos State for praying over a faulty transformer.


In a video trending online, some residents led by a pastor, were seen praying against all "forces" who might not want the transformer to be functional.

The residents were seen gathered around the transformer while asking God to take away all evils that might working against the transformer.


Reacting to the video, Oshoala demanded if this was a joke or something real.

She tweeted, "wait what, joke?"


Other social media users have also reacted to the video, expressing their surprise.


Quazeem Olamilekan @quazeemolami1 tweeted, "Wetin una no go see for Lagos" 


David Diagi @XceptionalDAViD also tweeted, "Nothing surprises me again in this Nigeria."


@wolemartin added, "E be things, who we offend for this country sef."


Asisat Lamina Oshoala MON is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Spanish side FC Barcelona Femení in the Primera División as a forward. She was named best player and was the highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
