Aston Villa has ended the 18 games unbeaten run of the English Premier League leaders, Arsenal, courtesy a late winner from Emiliano Buendia.
The Argentine forward had capitalised on a last-minute scuffle to latch home the ball and secure a narrow 2-1 victory for the Villans at Villa Park on Saturday.
Aston Villa however started the game with a zeal to win as Matty Cash put them on the lead before the end of half time.
Cash drove home a low shot to give Villa the lead in the 39th minute to reward his side’s adventure.
Arsenal however fired back after the break with Trossard equalising from close range seven minutes after the restart.
The Belgian latched on deflection from Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez to bring the game to levels term.
Aston Villa however kept the pressure on Arsenal missing several sitters before Buendia’s late screamer sent the home fans wild celebration.
Villa moved into second place, three points behind Arsenal who suffered only their second league loss of the season.
