The Academic Staff Union of Universities has advised Nigerians to withdraw their supports for politicians whose children are abroad schooling.
In a message by the President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, the union said this is part of the ways to compel political leaders to resolve the logjam in the nation’s tertiary institutions.
Nigerian universities have been shut down for more than three months with the fears that an end is not in sight for the trade disputes between the Federal Government and the union.
ASUU said its battle against the government is for the restoration of sanity to the education system.
Students of various universities have been organizing protests across the country to press home their demands for the reopening of the institutions.
