Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has vowed to bring attackers of BRT Bus to book.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on the state government’s official X handle yesterday.
According to the statement, Sanwo-Olu has condemned the attack on a BRT bus by hoodlums who robbed passengers of their belongings.
As quoted by Lagos Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, during an X space discussion, Sanwo-Olu vowed to make the perpetrators face the law.
“It is disturbing. Security agents are going after them. They will be made to face the law. People must know that such actions will have consequences,” the Governor said.
Meanwhile, speaking on the X Space discussion tagged ‘Ask Lagos’, the Information and Strategy Commissioner, Omotosho, also condemned the last week’s attack on the BRT bus while affirming that vandalism is not part of the culture of Lagos or Nigeria.
He attributed the act to ‘pure criminality’ as he expressed his disappointment with the disregard for public property.
“These facilities are put in place for our comfort, and those who destroy them are agents of discomfort.” He said.
