The terms were agreed upon after a meeting supervised by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Monday. The Lagos Police Command has apprehended a 25-year-old automobile mechanic who attempted to sell a customer’s car in parts at Ladipo Auto Spare Parts Market in Mushin. The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest to newsmen on Monday, said the arrest was made after receiving credible information by officers from the Mushin Division, who swiftly responded to the scene. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized 7,590 tons of illicit drugs and substances worth over N800 billion and arrested 42,105 drug offenders in three years across the country. Oil giant BP has announced it is pausing all shipments of oil through the Red Sea after recent attacks on vessels by Houthi rebels. BP blamed the “deteriorating security situation” in the region as Houthis target ships they believe are bound for Israel. Many freight firms have suspended journeys as the attacks continue.
