The World Health Organisation (WHO) is accusing the tobacco industry of spreading misinformation and deliberately recruiting children when marketing e-cigarettes. The industry “funds and promotes false evidence to argue that these products reduce harm,’’ the UN agency said in Geneva on Thursday. It called for stricter regulations for such products. “Kids are being recruited and trapped at an early age to use e-cigarettes and may get hooked to nicotine,’’ WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned. World football-governing body, FIFA has approved a total of 30 Nigerian referees to be placed on the international duty lists for the year 2024. These comprised 11 referees, 11 assistant referees, four beach soccer referees and four futsal referees. The Lagos State Government on Thursday, warned developers and residents against construction on drainage channels and alignment. Mr Bode Agoro, Lagos State Head of Service (HoS) gave the warning at the day two of the fourth Lagos Real Estate Market Place Conference and Exhibition in Lagos.
