Police in Jigawa have arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly fabricating firearms in Ringim Local Government Area of the state. Police spokesman in the state, DSP Lawan Shiisu, stated in Dutse on Thursday that the suspect was arrested on Nov. 16. “Policemen in Ringim in collaboration with a local vigilance group arrested the 50-year-old resident of Yandutsen Kawari village who specialised in fabricating firearms for miscreants,’’ Shiisu stated. Amazon workers in the UK will go on strike on Black Friday – one of the busiest shopping days of the year – in a long-running dispute over pay. TotalEnergies has confirmed that the oil leak at its Egina Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel operated has been contained. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that the leak had occurred while crude was being loaded from the Egina FPSO to a vessel on Nov 15. The lower tribunal had earlier declared David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the governorship election. Delivering judgement, the three-member panel held that the tribunal erred in law in concluding that Governor Sule did not win majority of the votes cast in the election. Mr Fidet Okhiria, the NRC Managing Director, said this at the interactive session of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance on the 2024–2026 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF/FSP) in Abuja on Wednesday.
