An Abuja High Court on Wednesday granted former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Godwin Emefiele bail. Justice Hamza Muazu of the FCT High Court granted former Emefiele bail in the sum of N300M. the judge also ordered Emefiele to produce two sureties in like sum. Some gunmen have reportedly attacked the headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force in JImeta, Yola, Adamawa state. The attacks in the early hours of Wednesday had reportedly forced many to flee. State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the attack, but said things were under control. The European Union (EU) Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS on Tuesday allocated the sum of one million euros (N847 million) for the fight against diphtheria outbreak in the Northeast and Northwest region of Nigeria. The bloc, in a bid to respond to the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria, donated the funds to help in curbing the spread of the disease and assisting the most affected communities. Mr Nyesom Wike, Minister of the FCT says the FCT Administration has pegged cost of issuance of Certificate of Occupancy (C- of-O) at N5 million. Wike made the pronouncement at a meeting he held with estate developers in Abuja on Tuesday.
