No fewer than 17 persons were killed in an auto crash on Tuesday at Takalafia village on Yawuri Expressway in Magama Local Government Area of Niger. Corps Public Education Officer at the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Bisi Kazeem, a deputy corps marshal confirmed the accident in a statement he issued in Abuja. Lagos State government on Tuesday in Ikeja dismissed allegations of financial impropriety leveled against Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu by Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the March 18 election. Rhodes-Vivour had alleged on his Twitter handle on Nov. 19, that Sanwo-Olu funded his response in the election petition filed by LP against his election using government money. A Hamas official said Tuesday that a ceasefire agreement with Israel would be announced in the coming hours in Qatar. Oil futures fell on Tuesday, reversing the previous day’s rally, as concerns over weaker demand amid a slowing global economy outweighed the prospect of deepening supply cuts by OPEC and its allies such as Russia.
