At the meeting are the Minister of Labour and Employment Generation, Simon Lalong, Minister of State Hon. Nkeiruka Onyeajeocha and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu. The justices of the court of appeal in a unanimous decision dismissed the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for lack of merit. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday, March 18, 2023, conducted an election for the Office of the Governor of Lagos State. A former Minister of Finance in Nigeria, Dr. Onaolapo Soleye, has died. Soleye, who was also one time Commissioner for Finance in Ogun State died at the age of 90 in the early hours of Wednesday. The family, in a statement seen by the NPO Reports, said further information would be provided later. The family confirmed that Soleye died at Redwood Specialist Hospital, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital. Soleye had served as Minister of Finance under the military regime of Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari. The Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has been notified about an incident involving a Bombardier CRJ-900LR aircraft with Nationality and Registration Marks 5N-BXR belonging to Valuejet Airlines.
