By Kamil Opeyemi The Police Command in Niger says it has arrested Joy Afekafe, the prime suspect in the killing of Dr Funmilola Adefolalu, a lecturer with the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna. The Lagos State Government has sealed $1.35 billion investment deal with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and Access Bank to boost infrastructure in the state. Speaking at the second AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment (ACTI) Forum in GeorgeTown Guyana, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, said the fund would increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the state. Sanwo-Olu said the $1.35 billion investment would facilitate five major infrastructure projects in the state. Dr Kayode Ajulo, a constitutional lawyer, has urged the Federal Government to introduce electronic tags for inmates awaiting trial in correctional centers to ease overcrowding. Ajulo who made the call in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, He said this would address the issue of overcrowding in correctional centres, expedites judicial process, and optimised the utilisation of government resources.
