The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that the process of distributing 42,000 metric tonnes of assorted food commodities to Nigerians is in its final stage. In an updated release by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, he stated that the commodities will be distributed free of charge. A Federal High Court judge, Justice James Omotosho on Friday, warned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) to be diligent in its prosecution of the alleged money laundering charge filed against Ali Bello and Suleiman Daudu or its csse would be closed. Omotosho gave the warning while ruling on an objection filed by Daudu challenging the 17-count amended charge filed by the EFCC in the matter. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, rejected a suit seeking to stop the Chief Judge of FCT High Court, Hussein Baba-Yusuf, from appointing 12 judges into the bench of the court. 9mobile, a telecommunications company, has urged its subscribers to link their SIM cards to their National Identity Numbers (NIN) to avoid disconnection. The company said this in a statement in Lagos on Friday and signed by its Director, Customer Care, Mr Ehimare Omoike. Omoike appealed to subscribers to carry out the exercise on or before Feb. 28, 2024 to avoid disconnection from the network.
