The Police Command in Cross River said a total of 81 suspects were charged to various courts between September and October 2023. The Command’s spokesperson, SP Irene Ugbo, made the disclosure in Calabar on Tuesday during the parade of 15 suspects arrested across the state within the period under review. An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on Tuesday sentenced the embattled Medical Director of Optical Cancer Care Foundation, Dr Olufemi Olaleye, to double life imprisonment for defiling 16-year-old wife’s niece. The suspect was sitting in the cockpit of an Alaska Airlines flight behind the captain and the first-officer, according to an airline statement.
