Nigeria’s economy grew 3.46% in the fourth quarter (NGGDPQ=ECI), opens new tab, a similar pace as it did a year earlier, data showed on Thursday, as oil output picked up and government reforms to boost growth began to take effect. Gross domestic product grew quicker than in the two previous quarters of 2023. GDP grew 2.54% in the third quarter and 2.51% in the second. Two teenagers have been arrested for breaking into a Secret Service car assigned to US President Joe Biden’s granddaughter late last year. An agent tasked with protecting Naomi Biden fired his weapon at the thieves during the incident in Washington DC’s wealthy Georgetown area. President Joe Biden’s dog Commander bit US Secret Service agents on at least 24 occasions, new documents show. US Secret Service records show the extent to which the German Shephard caused chaos for the presidential bodyguards. One senior agent noted the bites meant the Secret Service changed tactics, advising agents to “give lots of room”. The warning came months before Commander was removed from the White House.
