The Lagos State House of Assembly on Friday passed a total of N2.268 trillion as the 2024 budget size of the state. The House approved the passage of the budget following a unanimous voice by all the lawmakers present at the plenary presided over by the Speaker, Mr Mudashiru Obasa. The Ogun Area Command II of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Friday said it has released the bullion van it impounded in April 2022 which was found loaded with rice. The Customs Area Controller, Olusola Alade, who disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta said the van was impounded after being found to contain 12 50kg bags of smuggled foreign parboiled rice.
