Safiu Kehinde The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has intensified effort maximum National Identification Number (NIN) registration exercise ahead of the September 14th deadline issued for NIN-SIM linkage. The commission disclosed several actions it has taken towards the exercise in statement issued earlier today by its Head of Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke. Safiu Kehinde Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) has destroyed N5 million worth of seized Styrofoam packs. This was disclosed in a statement issued on their official X handle by the agency’s Head of Public Affairs and Advocacy Unit, Ajayi Lukman. As contained the statement, the Styrofoam, which were seized across various locations in Lagos, were destroyed at Epe area of the state. Safiu Kehinde At least three people have been confirmed dead in Kano building collapse on Thursday. This was disclosed in a post on X by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The incidented reportedly occured around 2am at Sabon Gari area of Fagge Local Government where a two-story building came down crashing, leaving six people trapped in the rubbles. A boy accused of killing four people at his high school in Georgia was interviewed last year by police about anonymous online threats, the FBI has said. Colt Gray, 14, denied to police in May 2023 he was behind internet posts that contained images of guns, warning of a school shooting. The suspect opened fire on Wednesday at Apalachee High School in the city of Winder, killing two teachers and two pupils, investigators say. Eight students and one teacher were injured.
