Safiu Kehinde Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki, has delivered his polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Ighodalo wins at the unit. As contained in the official results at PU19, Ward 04, Oredo LGA, PDP recorded 127 votes. The APC came second with 35 votes while the Labour Party (LP) got 11 votes. Recall that Ighodalo had earlier won at LP’s Olumide Akpata’s polling unit.

APC Governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, emerges winner at his polling unit following the conclusion of voting at the poll. According to a post on X, Okphebolo won the election at Polling Unit 001, Ward 2, Esan Central LGA. He gathered102 votes in massive victory over  PDP and Labour Party’s one vote each.

Safiu Kehinde The All Progressive Congress (APC) emerged winner at Adams Oshiomole Polling Unit with large margin. The election at Polling Unit 001, Ward 10, Estako West LGA, saw the APC gathered 403 votes out of the total 405 votes at the Polling Unit. While PDP managed to secure one vote, the Labour Party recorded no votes as collation continues. As of 4:12 PM, a total of 50.67% (2,439 of 4,519) of the results from the Edo governorship election have been uploaded to the INEC IReV portal. Meanwhile, the PDP had earlier won at Labour Party’s governorship candidate’s polling unit.

Safiu Kehinde The Labour Party’s Edo state gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, has been defeated in his polling unit.  This followed the conclusion of voting at Polling Unit 11, Ward 6 in Oredo Local Government Area where the LP Candidate managed to gather 32 votes. Akpata came second at the poll as he lost to the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo, who recorded 41 votes. However, the All Progressive Congress (APC) could only manage to score 19 votes as election comes to an end at the polling unit. More details later.

Safiu Kehinde Sequel to the delay in election commencement in some polling units, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has extended the election time in the affected polling units.
