Safiu Kehinde The Nigerian Police Force has paraded 2,726 suspected criminals arrested over the course of one month while recovering 150 firearms. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Force’s PPRO, Olumuyiwa Muyiwa, on its official X handle yesterday. The suspected criminals, according to the statement, were apprehended for different criminal acts. Agency Report A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Friday sentenced a 38-year-old driver, Monday Amale to 18 months in prison for stealing iron door valued at N90, 000. The Magistrate, Mr Shawomi Bokkos, summarily tried and sentenced Amale after he pleaded guilty to the crime. The magistrate, however, gave the convict a fine of N20, 000 or six months in prison. He ordered him to pay a compensation of N120,000 to the complainant and to spend one year in prison in default.
