Agency Report The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday brought a Chinese, Zhengjia Jin, before an Ikeja Special Offences Court, for alleged bribery and N301 million fraud. Jin, was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on retention of stolen property, bribery and stealing. The EFCC counsel, Mr Ahmad Usman, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offences between March 5 and Aug. 9 in Lagos. Safiu Kehinde Ogun State Government has, on Thursday, denied claims of intimidation by Task Force set up in the petroleum industry. Reacting to the allegation laid by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), the state’s Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Safiu Kehinde Oyo state ministry of health has shut down two hospitals in Saki West local government area of the state following suspected Lassa fever outbreak. The deaths was confirmed by Oyo State Rapid Response Team (RRT) from the ministry of health which visited the affected area in Saki following distress calls from residents on what they call mysterious deaths. Safiu Kehinde Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has approved the implementation of N70,000 Minimum Wage for workers in the state. This was made known in a statement issued by the state’s Head of Service (HoS) Stephen Pam, in Jos on Thursday. Okpebholo gave the directive in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, on Thursday in Benin. The governor warned that non-compliance by commercial banks as well as heads of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) would result in severe penalties. “All bank accounts in all commercial banks are now frozen.
