Safiu Kehinde Residents of Ibadan, Oyo state capital, has again witnessed another tragedy after fire guts a storey building, killing a couple and their grandson. The incident which reportedly occured in the early hours of Friday at the Eru, Idikan area of the capital city was confirmed by the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka. Safiu Kehinde In another major raid on fake food items, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has confiscated N5 billion worth of counterfeit rice recovered across eight shops and a warehouse in Nasarawa state. This was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the facilitator of the vaccine Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Safiu Kehinde Human Rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has been granted N30 million bail by the Ekiti state Magistrate court, Ado-Ekiti. This was disclosed in a post on X by Sahara Reporters publisher and activist, Omoyele Sowore. According to Sowore, Farotimi was granted the bail on Friday at the court’s hearing of the defamation suit filed against him by Chief Afe Babalola.
