Safiu Kehinde The Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a N5.5 billion defamatory lawsuit against the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) . The DSS, in the suit filed in the names of two of its officials; Sarah John and Gabriel Ogundele, stated that the alleged false claim by SERAP had negatively impacted on its reputation and that of the two officials involved. The defendant, with no fixed, address was arraigned on a count charge of stealing. According to the Prosecutor, Mrs Chinedu Chimezie, Moses allegedly stole six single doors, 24 windows, one wheel barrow, 38 pieces of pipes, all valued at N560,000, property of one Mr Chinedu Chimezie.
