Abubakar Umar, Assistant Controller of Corrections, (ACC) Service Public Relations Officer (SPRO) made known this in an interview on Thursday. According to him, there are no cases of Mpox in its 256 custodial centres across the country yet. While Nigeria has previously handled isolated cases of the virus, the current outbreak has escalated the situation, necessitating a more pressing and concerted response. A boy accused of killing four people at his high school in Georgia was interviewed last year by police about anonymous online threats, the FBI has said. Colt Gray, 14, denied to police in May 2023 he was behind internet posts that contained images of guns, warning of a school shooting.
