Safiu Kehinde Collision between two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses has left several passengers injured in Lagos. As confirmed in a statement by Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s (LASEMA) Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu on Wednesday, the incident happened at the Bus Rapid Transport corridor at Iyana-Ipaja inward Pleasure road. Agency Report Police units around the world have joined forces in a series of covert operations targeting one of West Africa’s most feared criminal networks – Black Axe. Operation Jackal III saw officers in body armour carry out raids in 21 countries between April and July 2024. The mission, co-ordinated by global policing agency Interpol, led to the arrest of 300 people with links to Black Axe and other affiliated groups. Agency Report The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says 125,928 of the 184,438 newly printed Permanent Voters’ Card (PVCs) have been collected in Edo, ahead of the Sept.21 Governorship election in the state. Mr Sam Olumekun, INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja. Halimah Olamide The Lagos Mass Transit Red Line Rail will begin partial operations today, Wednesday. This was discloed by the spokesperson, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Kolawole Ojelabi in a statement on Tuesday.
