Safiu Kehinde In an effort to relief flood victims across northern states, the North East Development Commission (NEDC), has released 200,000 bags of rice for victims of flood in Adamawa, Yobe, Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, and Taraba. The grains, alongside other items, were presented the grains to the states on Wednesday by the Commission’s Managing Director, Mr Mohammed Alkali, in Maiduguri. Safiu Kehinde The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), has recorded witnessed a significant rise of 128 per cent in cholera cases in Nigeria. This was disclosed on the Commission’s official website in a report which identified Lagos state as the epi-centre of the outbreak with 60 per cent of all cases. As contained in the report, Lagos Island stood as the most affected Locsl Government Area (LGA).
