Agency Report  The House of Representatives say it would take up cases of unfunded agencies by the Federal Government, in spite of the requisite appropriation and their creation by the Act of parliarment. Rep. Ibrahim Isiaka, Chairman, Special Committee on the Restructuring of Federal Agencies, Commissions and Parastatals, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday. Safiu Kehinde  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has granted special promotion to eight of its officers following their interception of 60 Bags of Ghanaian ‘loud’. This was disclosed in a statement signed by the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, and issued on the agency’s official X handle. Agency Report  The Kaduna State Government (KDSG), said troops had neutralised eight bandits in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area (LGA), of the state. The Overseeing Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan ,confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, in Kaduna. Aruwan said based on operational feedback , troops commenced fighting patrol to Kampanin Doka general area and made contact with some bandits on arrival at the location. Safiu Kehinde  In the wake of Joe Ajaero’s agreement to honour Nigeria Police Force invitation over alleged terrorism funding, the Nigeria Labour Congress has threatened to embark on nationwide strike if the Union’s President gets detained. The Union made this stand known earlier today as they accompanied Ajaero to the Abattoir Police Office, Guzape area of Abuja. NPO Reports that the police had last week issued a summon to Ajaero asking him to come forward over the allegations. Safiu Kehinde Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara, has died in Lagos. His death was confirmed earlier today in a statement by his family. According to report, Ayilara, died in the early hours of Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. “We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother, and family, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead,” the family was quoted as saying. The petition filed by the Chairman of Nigeria-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group, Rep. Biodun Omoleye, and the Chairman, House Committee on Diaspora Matters, Rep. Tochukwu Okere, to the Canadian High Commission, demanded the prosecution of the lady identified as Amaka Patience Sunnberger. Safiu Kehinde The Federal Government has begged members of the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) to call off their seven-day warning strike. Minister of State for Health, Dr Tunji Alausa, made this appeal to the Resident doctors on Thursday in Kaduna during a visit to the National Eye Centre.
