This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). According to the statement, the agency’s Lagos Territorial Office, alongside other key stakeholders, received the returnees who were repatriated from Niger Republic on Tuesday. The operation led to the confiscation of adulterated alcoholic beverages and the discovery of expired salt with altered expiry dates. Oil prices slipped in early trade on Thursday, reversing most of the previous session’s gains, weighed down by worries of higher global production amid slow demand growth, with a firmer dollar exacerbating the declines. Brent crude futures fell 35 cents, or 0.5%, to $71.93 a barrel by 0400 GMT.
