The hard drugs were meant for export to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. A statement by the NDLEA spokesman, Mr Femi Babafemi on Sunday in Abuja stated that the skunk in tomato pastes consignment weighing 20.00 kilograms was intercepted on Friday Sept. 8. President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has named Mr Eseme Eyiboh, a former spokesperson of the House of Representatives, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs. Akpabio made the announcement in Abuja on Sunday, describing Eyiboh as “an astute politician, experienced media manager, public affairs expert and communications guru”. The Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), says it has recovered 24 corpses and rescued over 30 persons in a boat mishap that occurred on Sunday in Mokwa Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, made the assertion at a virtual news conference on Saturday night in Lagos, where she explained why it would be difficult to return the fees to the former rates. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson, Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta on Sunday.
