By Kamil Opeyemi The Joint Task Force Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), on Tuesday said its operatives have arrested an oil vessel MV Ofuoma and 10 crew members conveying alleged illegally refined petroleum products in Rivers. The Component Commander OPDS, Commodore John Siyanbade, who represented the OPDS Commander, Rear Adm. Olusegun Ferreira said MV Ofuoma was arrested on Aug. 15, at Abuloma jetty in Port-Harcourt by the Nigerian Navy Ship, Pathfinder. The agency said this in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos noting that the returnees spent varying periods at various detention camps in the northern African country. They were repatriated back to the country in two separate chartered flights, the first with 161 returnees on Aug. 21 while the second flight came on Monday with 137 returnees. The Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has sacked the entire media team of his deputy, Phillips Shaibu. In a statement on Monday, Chris Nehikhare, the commissioner for information in Edo State said the state government has “disbanded” the media crew of the deputy governor apparently because of the walk-out.
