By Kamil Opeyemi The Nigerian Armed Forces on Friday laid to rest the remains of military personnel killed in action and in the recent crash of the Nigerian Air Force MI-171E Helicopter in Niger. The burial ceremony was conducted for 22 of the deceased personnel at the National Military Cemetery Abuja in line with military tradition. It also signifies a mark of honour for their gallantry and sacrifice in defence of the nation. Mr Joshua Adekanye, state Sector Commander of the corps, disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Ibadan. Adekanye also said that 618 persons sustained various degrees of injuries in 246 road crashes recorded to have occurred within the period. Comptroller Mohammed Saddiq, in charge the command, at a news conference, noted that the victims were intercepted alongside one Mrs Blessing Anireta, 26, without any means of identity or livelihood.
