Russia’s ambassador in Britain has told the BBC he does not believe his country will use tactical nuclear weapons in the war against Ukraine. Andrei Kelin said that according to Russian military rules, such weapons are not used in conflicts like this one. Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, a Catholic priest, has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue. Rev. Fr. Alia, Catholic priest of Gboko Diocese, scored 526,807 votes to emerge as the party’s candidate at the primary election held on Saturday in Makurdi. Chairman of the election committee, Dr Peter Ojie, said 13 aspirants participated at the election. The Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Police in Paris said that 68 people were arrested in the French capital after the UEFA Champions League final match, which saw Real Madrid defeat Liverpool 1-0 on Saturday. In the early hours of Sunday, the Paris Police Prefecture said that it carried out 68 arrests in connection to the match. Local media also cited authorities reporting that 238 interventions were carried out by firefighters for minor injuries. Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, has apologised to the Headies Award organisers for threatening to commit murder if he does not win the awards he was nominated for. Popular singer, Portable, has again survived another car accident. It is his second in about four months after another similar incident where had rammed his car into a building in Lagos.
