Presidential aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party have on Friday stormed the Legacy House headquarters of the party to be screened. The PDP presidential screening panel, headed by former Senate President David Mark is to screen the likes of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, and others. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has urged government at all levels to intensify efforts to check the operations of illegal refineries in the country. The United States has confirmed the first known human case of H5 bird flu in a person in the western state of Colorado. The U.S. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in a statement that the person who tested positive for avian influenza A (H5) virus was involved in the culling of poultry presumed to have had H5N1 bird flu. The patient reported fatigue for a few days as the only symptom and had since recovered. Earlier this year Chinese programmer Jixian Wang moved to the Ukrainian port city of Odesa for work. Months later, Russia invaded the country.
