The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant General’s Intelligence Squad has arrested eight suspected syndicates who specialize in vandalism of petroleum pipelines and seized 117 kegs containing adulterated diesel products. A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Friday ruled that former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara must vacate his seat at the lower legislative chamber. Dogara represents Dass, Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced that it strongly recommended use of nirmatrelvir and ritonavir, sold under the name Paxlovid, for mild and moderate COVID-19 patients at the highest risk of hospital admission.
