Car hire company Bolt has assured a man who mistakenly transferred a sum of N130,000 to one of its drivers instead of N1,300 that everything would be done to recover his money. The Minister of Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi, has said the Ogoni Cleanup Project would not be completed under the current tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Minister said the remaining time left under the current regime would not be enough. Abdullahi spoke to State House correspondents after a meeting he had with the President. Delta released a minor used for alms begging to her grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Igwe, in Asaba on Thursday. The grandmother had been arrested in Warri, Delta, earlier in the year alongside six other women, who were using minors for alms begging. She was incarcerated and released from prison custody on March 17. The Delta government made Mrs Igwe to sign an undertaking not to repeat the prank before the minor was handed over to her. World Health Organisation (WHO) says one million children in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi have now received one or more doses of the world’s first malaria vaccine, through a programme it piloted. The malaria vaccine pilots, first launched by the Government of Malawi in April 2019, have shown the vaccine to be safe and feasible to deliver, and that it substantially reduces deadly severe malaria. The family of Dr. Chinelo Megafu who was killed during an attack by terrorists on a Kaduna-Abuja train has held a funeral for her in Lagos on Thursday. Megafu, a medical doctor was killed when terrorists struck and attacked a kaduna bond train on Monday March 28. At least nine persons were killed while about 160 were abducted. One of those abducted by the terrorists was released after the payment of a sum of N100m as ransom. The funeral for the young doctor was held at the Obanikoro area of Lagos and had in attendance family members.
