Police in Kaduna State rescued four kidnap victims on Friday, the spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige, stated in Kaduna on Sunday. Jalige stated that an unspecified number of bandits stormed Gabari Community, Samaru, in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Friday. A television analyst Olawale Apejoye has died hours after appearing on a television programme. Apejoye is a regular face on TV Continental and Channels TV. He reportedly died on Good Friday without any sign of illness. Apejoye was said to have also featured on a Channels TV programme on Wednesday, about 48 hours to his death. A 28-year old man, Sakiru Famuyiwa, was apprehended in Ogun State at the weekend for kidnapping two children during the Good Friday service at the Celestial Church of Christ Ijeja area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The Russian defence ministry has published images showing what it says is the crew of the warship Moskva – the first time any sailors from the ship have been seen since its sinking. The Police Command in Kano State on Saturday arrested a 33-year-old drug peddler, Agbo Victor, in possession of 250 parcels of Cannabis sativa. This was contained in a statement by the Spokesman of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, in Kano.
