A former Managing Director of Dangote Cement Mr. Joseph Makoju has died. Makoju, who was also a former boss of the Power Holdings Company of Nigeria, reportedly died in Abuja at an hospital. The Federal High Court (FHC)’s vacation has stalled the judgment in suit seeking for the declaration of the seat of Rep Yakubu Dogara vacant on account of his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Benin Zonal Command, says it has arrested three women for alleged human trafficking and child abuse. Mr Nduka Nwanwenne, the Zonal Commander, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Benin. Nwanwenne said the arrests were made at different locations in Benin during the weekend. He explained that whereas one of the suspects was arrested for alleged human trafficking, the other two were arrested for alleged child abuse. A support group, Emefiele Mobilization Team (EMT) says the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Godwin Emefiele remains focused on delivering on his mandate as governor of the apex bank. Some Gunmen have killed the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Atakumosa Central East Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon. Gbenga Ogbara. NPO Reports learnt that Ogbara was killed at about 12:30am in his house. Police Spokeswoman Yemisi Opalola confirmed the development on behalf of the command saying the command has moved to unravel the circumstances leading to the killing. Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Sunday took his consultation to the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero. The Minister who was first received by aides to the royal father later ushered him into the room where he was received by the Emir.
