The spate of ritual killings and kidnappings has compelled the Ogun Alternate Medicine Board to set up a 42-member advisory committee to promote genuine and quality service delivery. The group said the move is to be able to identify those behind incessant cases of killings in the state. Chairman of the board, Balogun Nurudeen Olaleye, while inaugurating the committee in Abeokuta, said it would also ensure regular monitoring and screening of practitioners before being certified. The Kaduna State Government on Tuesday confirmed that 34 people were killed on Sunday when unidentified assailants attacked Kagoro Chiefdom in Kaura Local Government Area. The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Kaduna. Aruwan said: “Security agencies have reported to the Kaduna State Government that after search operations and detailed checks, 34 people have been confirmed dead following Sunday’s attack in Kaura Local Government Area. President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday directed the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, to raise a memo to facilitate the linkage of the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the railway network. While thanking Amaechi for making the seaport a reality, the president said the minister needs to consult towards bringing up a memorandum to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to link the facility with the railway network. Members of the Optimist Sailing Team Ukraine confronted the vessel in a small boat, chanting “no war in Ukraine” and waving their country’s flag. President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday opened the new terminal of the Muritala Mohammed International Airport Ikeja expressing hopes that with the new facilities, the new terminal will improve the economy of the country.
