The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has warned of what it called “heightened security” around the areas of the international airport, Ikeja, Lagos ahead of Tuesday when it will commission the newly built International Terminal at the Murtala Mohammad Airport, Lagos State. The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum have described Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State as an instrument of stabilisation for the forum. The Chairman of the forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal made this known in a state as Gov. Ugwuanyi turned 58. One of Rwanda’s most popular YouTubers has lost an appeal against a seven-year jail sentence for criticising the government. Dieudonné Niyonsenga, who also goes by the name “Cyuma Hassan”, was convicted last November of forgery, impersonating a journalist and humiliating state officials. He had posted videos that accused soldiers of serious abuses against slum dwellers during a coronavirus lockdown. Neither the YouTuber, nor his lawyer, appeared in court. Intrigues towards 2023 have continued to hot up in Kwara State as an associate of former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Engineer Musa Yeketi, has defected to the All Progressive Congress.
