Gunmen on Saturday attacked the Umuguma Police station in Owerri West council area of Imo and killed two officers on duty. A spokesperson for Russia’s defence ministry has said that Moscow has destroyed an underground depot in western Ukraine using hypersonic missiles. Tension rose in Imo again Saturday as some unknown gunmen on Saturday set ablaze the country home of a former Nigerian Ambassador to the United States and President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has disclosed that it is interrogating former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, over misappropriation of N42 billion belonging to the state. A source in the commission disclosed that the former governor was being interrogated over alleged misapplication of N5 billion Sure-P and N37 billion security vote, withdrawn in cash. Sources said the explosion took place on Friday morning leading to a heavy fire outbreak, that claimed the lives of three persons.
