President Bola Tinubu has dropped one of his nominees for ministerial position, Maryam Shetty. This was just as the President sent two other other names including that of the former Minister of State for Labour and Productivity Festus Keyamo to the Senate. The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force have agreed to set up Joint Committees to resolve operational differences of the two agencies. This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations of PSC in Abuja. He said the agreement was reached when the Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mr Kayode Egbetokun visited the Chairman of PSC, Dr Solomon Arase. Two brothers, Steven Nwadike, 31, and Felix Nwadike, 21, were on Thursday docked in an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for alleged assault and threat to life. The Police charged the defendants, who reside at Mende, Maryland with four counts of conspiracy, assault, threat to life and breach of peace. The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges. The House of Representatives, says it will revisit the case of the N11.3 trillion allegedly spent by the Federal Government on the turn-around maintenance of Nigeria’s refineries between 2010 and 2020.
