Results declared by the collation officer, Professor Arma Ya’u Hamisu Bichi of Federal University Dutsin Ma said the exercise was peaceful. The commission earlier commenced collation on Sunday with Ekiti but suspended till today owing to the inability of the State Collation Officers for Presidential Elections (SCOPES) to arrive in Abuja. The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi, has won the presidential election in Lagos state, the home state of his All Progressive Congress candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. The Independent National Electoral Commission has again shifted its collation of results to the presidential election to Monday at 11am. Commission chairman Prof Mahmud Yakubu, announced this just as Ekiti State completed submission of its result at the resumed collation Sunday evening.
