Former Governor of Lagos State and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said that Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State could not have been governor today if not through his magnanimity. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the release of the former Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Mr Ahmed Idris from its custody. Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the Head of Media and Public Affairs of the commission, said that Idris was released after meeting his bail conditions. “I actually do not have idea of what the bail conditions are but all I can tell you is that he has been released after meeting his bail conditions,” he said. The Federal High Court in Abuja has on Tuesday granted former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha bail. This was just as the court adjourned the case over N2.9bn fraud allegation against him to November this year. Justice Inyang Ekwo, while using the discretionary power of the court, granted the senator N500m bail with a surety who must have a landed property within the jurisdiction of the court. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara over alleged involvement in the N84 billion fraud allegation against the former Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Mr. Ahmed Idris. UEFA has delayed kick-off in the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid by 30 minutes because of “security reasons”.
