Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, on Wednesday, accepted the resignation of his Deputy, Alhaji Manir Dan’iya, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Malam Saidu Umar, and 11 other key political office holders in the state. The Nigerian government on Wednesday moved towards the revamp of the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company. The Federal Executive Council approved a contract that will ensure the revitalisation and operation of the Company and the National Iron Ore Complex, Itakpe in Kogi State. The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has released its unaudited results for the first quarter ended March 31st, 2022, recording impressive growth across its income lines. A statement made available to the NPO Reports on Wednesday said the bank’s result was released to the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday. The Nigerian government has approved the extradition of an internet fraud suspect, Adedunmola Gbadegesin to the United States of America. Information available to the NPO Reports shows that Gbadegesin is wanted in the United States in connection with wired fraud allegedly committed by him. He was said to have committed a fraud to the tune of $148,000. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission confirmed the arrest and extradition of Gbadegesin on Wednesday. There is anxiety in Lagos as a boat has just capsised right in front of the loading bay of the Lagos State Ferry Services at the Falomo area of Lagos. It could not be immediately confirmed if the boat is one of those in the fleet of the LAGFERRY services.
