Soyinka, who made his position known in a statement on Saturday, said with the new political ordering, nothing should be expected of the promised reopening of the case. As the outrage continues over Monday bloody attacks on the Kaduna-bound train where many were killed, President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency meeting of his security chiefs in the country. According to the Presidency, those at the meeting held at the State House are Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Inspector General of Police, Chief of Defence Intelligence and the Director General of the Directorate of State Intelligence. The details of the meeting were not made public.
Another attack has been carried out by terrorists on another train station in Kaduna. There are reports that the attackers had apparently planted explosives at the station which exploded Tuesday afternoon.
