At least about six passengers are believed to have died after a container laden truck fell on a commercial bus in Ojuelegba area of Lagos on Sunday. NPO Reported earlier fears of many passengers being trapped in the compressed bus. There are efforts to rescue others who appeared to have been alive while others appear to have died immediately in the accident. The container was said to be coming from Apapa when it lost control and fell on the bus painted in Lagos colour. A Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo on Saturday night, dismissed an alleged certificate forgery case brought by chief David Kente, against the governorship candidate of the APC, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, for lack of evidence. Justice Bala Usman,in his ruling, said the plaintiff and his counsel failed to provide evidence to back his allegation against the APC governorship candidate as required by both INEC and the constitution. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Sunday said Nigerians now have a window of another 10 days within which to deposit their old Naira notes. Godwin Emefiele, CBN Governor, made the announcement while speaking to journalists Sunday morning after his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari I in Daura, Katsina state. Tragedy struck in the early hours of Thursday as fire has gutted a four storey building which houses many stores of fabric merchants at the popular Balogun Market, Lagos. Officials of the Federal Fire Service and the Lagos `state counterparts are busy trying to put the fire out.
