The senator representing Osun West senatorial district in the National Assembly, Adelere Oriolowo, has demanded a sum of N500m from the state government in Osun accusing the government of damaging his reputation. A former Commissioner for Environment in Osun, Hon. Idowu Korede has died. Korede, who was also a former Chairman of Ilesa East Local Government Area of the state reportedly fell ill and did not recover until he passed on on the eve of the New Year. Oyo State Police Command have paraded three suspected killers of an Ogbomoso-born, United State-based hotelier, Olugbenga Owolabi and final year student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Rachel Opadele. Recall that Owolabi and Opadele were abducted in August 2022, at a hotel located in the Abaa community in Surulere Local Government Area of Ogbomoso in Oyo State.
