The Supreme Court on Wednesday fixed Oct. 21 for judgment in an appeal filed by Mr David Edevbie, Delta governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2023 governorship election. Edevbie is urging the Supreme Court to uphold the judgment of the Federal High Court which declared him the PDP candidate, Sheriff Orohwedor on his part, is pleading with the Apex Court to endorse the Court of Appeal which voided the decision of the high court. Eight years after the invasion of Chibok Girls School in has cried out accusing government of neglecting their wards. Lagos socialite and filmmaker, Olajide Kareem, popularly known as Seun Egbegbe has regained his freedom after spending 42 months in jail. A Federal High Court, Ikoyi has however found the filmmaker guilty of only one out of the 44 charges slammed on him. The Assistant Chief Surveyor in the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF), Shamsideen Abayomi Alamu has been killed by kidnappers. He was said to have been kidnapped along with his mother and a seven year old son at Abaji on his way from Iwo, Osun State where he had attended a wedding. Displaced families in Syrian camps are begging for donations on TikTok while the company takes up to 70% of the proceeds, a BBC investigation found. Children are livestreaming on the social media app for hours, pleading for digital gifts with a cash value. Nigeria’s Information and Culture Minister Lai Mohammed says Nigeria has signed an agreement with Germany for the repatriation of over 1,130 looted Benin Bronze artifacts back to the country. Mohammed disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Washington DC on Tuesday, after three museums in the U.S. repatriated 31 Benin Bronze artifacts to Nigeria. President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has assured the National Assembly will pass the 2023 Appropriation Bill of N20.5 trillion before the end of December.
