Parts of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick are experiencing torrential rain and winds of up to 148 km/h (92 mph). Ogun State Police Command says it’s operatives have arrested one 84-year-old identified as Stephen Jack for having unlawful carnal knowledge of an eight year old girl (name withheld). The Appeal Court in Abuja has rejected Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s request to relocate the sitting of the Tribunal sitting in Osun over July 16 governorship election in the state to Abuja. Oyetola had on August 23, wrote to the President of the Court, Justice M.B Dongban Mensem of Appeal to relocate the Tribunal sitting over the governorship election in Osun to Abuja claiming the security reports at his disposal is pointing to possible crisis that may erupt after the Judgement might have been passed. The Federal Government has selected Ethiopian Airlines (ET) Consortium as preferred bidder for Nigeria Air. The Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika made this known during a media briefing on Friday in Abuja. According to him, ET scored 89 per cent out of 100 as regards the technical bid and 15 out 20 as regards financial bid.
