Odibo Victory The police have on Thursday, arraigned two men over alleged defrauding of rice sellers and theft of property worth N17.4 million in Ibadan. The defendants, who identified themselves as Teslim Lawal and Mutiu Omotunwase, were brought before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan. Lawal, 48, and Omotunwase, 54, whose addresses were not provided, were arraigned on a six-count charge bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretences, and theft. Odibo Victory A 27-year-old woman in Abuja was on Thursday handed a 10-year jail term for stabbing her neighbour, Salamatu Yinusa, to death. The convict, Immaculate Chukwudi, a mother of three, was sentenced by a High Court in Abuja after being found guilty of causing Yinusa’s death. Odibo Victory The Ogun State Police Command has on Thursday apprehended 30 suspected cult members during an initiation rite in Isara-Remo, recovering four vehicles and other exhibits.
